  1. I am a big Sophie McKenzie fan and this book did nothing to let me down. I loved it! It is full of action and humour and kept me hooked until the last page. This is part one in The Medusa series – part three came out this summer (2010) and part 4 is due out next spring (2011). I really can’t wait!
Four children unbeknown to each other have grown up with special powers. Each one is different. They are brought together in this first part as they learn that evil powers want to them. The whole series is really good and very popular in our school. Each part is told by a different character which makes this series slightly special too as their characters are so different. Read them!!

  2. This was probably the best book I’ve read this year, besides Brain Jack and Moon Shadow. This book was probably addicting, exciting and suspicious/pressuring of what was going to happen next to the psychic abilities characters. I can’t wait till I get my hands on Sophie McKenzie books.

  3. Sophie McKenzie is a really good author and i’ve read loads of her books.
The Set Up is the first book in the Medusa Project series. It is about 4 kids that were implanted with the medusa gene when they were babies and now the have powers like telekinesis, mind reading ect… I think this book is a rerally good choice for the sakura medal. I cant wait to red the fourth part of the series!
READ THIS BOOK!!! you will not be able to put it down. After that you can read every other sophie mckenzie book because she is an amazing author!
Keep up the great work Sophie McKenzie!

  4. This is the best book I’ve ever read! This book, full of love, tears, excitement, and suspense will make you go on and on. You just can’t stop wherever you are. Sopie Mckenzie has done a great job making the readers nervous and curious of what will happen next.

  5. fantastic book! I love it! I don`t understand how Niko chooses Ketty, not Dylan.

  6. LOVE Sophie McKenzie books, and this one is no exception. Perfect story; action packed, with a bit of romance added in.

  7. I agree with everyone else. This book is fantastic! I finished the book in a day! It’s just the book everyone would like. It has a bit of unrealistic powers that really charges up the book, and the big thing that happens at the end with Jack and Nico really makes you satisfied, and even somehow Sophie McKenzie for- shadows it, cause I just knew it! And with all of the crime – like burglary and stuff, McKenzie just makes the book awesome. And the fourth telekiness person being there just makes everything perfect! A must read, I can’t wait to read the rest of the next book in the series!

  8. I absolutely loved this book!!!!!!! I loved all the action and couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book! This is a great book and I recommend it to everyone

  9. This book is my favourite so far! I gave it a four point five. I liked how Nico fights for the mothers’ lives, as well as Ketty’s attention. The suspense that went on throughout the book kept me reading! I would like to read the Hostage, the sequel to this book too. I also want to read Girl, Missing by Sophie McKenzie.
