  1. Shades of Grey was a really interesting science fiction novel. I thought the class separation by color of blood was an unique idea for society. The message this book conveys are relevant to today because the segregation via blood mirrors our current society with segregation based on skin color. However, the author makes up a whole code of law and governing system, so it gets confusing and complicated very early on into the story – I felt like I had to write some things down just so I could get it all straightened out in my head.
