  1. This is the first book in a series about a boy who discovers his family tradition: beastology. A beastologist is someone who cares for rare and mythical beasts, like unicorns and basilisks. In this story Nathaniel has to protect a phoenix, but he isn’t sure if he’s cut out for a life of adventure.

Fans of fantasy books will enjoy this one.

  2. Dear Mr.R.L LaFevers I really liked your book flight of the Phoenix. So far it is my favorite book. At the end I think you could have added that Nate was starting to feel a spark of adventure. I liked the way you described the phoenix. I really pictured it in my head. I also liked the part where the bedouin girl thought that the gremlin (greasal) was a jinni.
