  1. Loved this book. One of the best children’s books I have read in a while. We will run this one as a book club at ASIJ from next year on.

    • This book is soo touching!!!!! Except i think it was bad to drink alcohol when you’re sick……i recommend this book to people who like sad stories.

  2. I really liked this book, because this book made me thing of this boy, Sam deeply. I felt sad after reading this book, because Sam died of Leukaemia, and I feel really sad for him as well.

I really liked the way this author, Sally Nicholls organized each stories or events into the chapters (dates).

I recommend this book to everyone, but especially the people who likes sad stories.

Out of 5 apples, I would give 5 of them, because I really love this story, and I think this is one of my best books I’ve ever read.

  3. It was sad and interesting as I flipped through the pages looking at a Leukemia patient’s diary. The chapters were disconnected, and weird in a good way. The issue about each chapter was clear, the story were moving quickly which makes it easier to read.

I really liked it, but it was really sad. I’m not much of a sad novel person, but Sam didn’t got too depressed and turning it into a gloomy book.

I would give it 9.9/10 apples

  4. no offence guys, but i just dont understand why everyone is saying this book is good.
it wasn’t sad, it was a happy ending, but the happy ending was weird, like he acomplished everything and then he died.
it would be a touching book if he had died alone or something…
ok, but it was sort of good…

  5. I did not really like this book but it made me think of people who are very unfortunate compared to us and it made me feel like I was really lucky not to have leukemia.

I thought that this book is very sad but I did not think that it was interesting or fun to read, Indeed, It did not make me want to finish it but i did because I thought that it would get better. It got a little better in the end.

I was a really easy book to read in a diary format.
I don’t really like sad books but if you do, I really recommend it!
