  1. This is a superb book. I really loved it. I started reading this book on Sunday afternoon, did a few family things, got back to it on Sunday evening and carried on straight through into the early hours of Monday morning without noticing the time go by. It was so easy to read, interesting and really grabbed my imagination.
This book follows the progress of Jenna Fox after she wakes up having been unconscious for about a year. She comes to with no memories at first of her previous life. But as her memories come back with help from family DVDs and her grandmother Lily, her life unfolds for us and it becomes a truly gripping story. Twists in the story force you to read faster and faster and before you know it the story is finished. The version we have in our school has a really illuminating interview with the author that you should read.
    Well worth reading!

  2. I loved “The adoration of Jenna Fox” even though it was sad. I felt so sorry for Jenna when she found out that she was only 10% of her original body and the rest was artificial. I recommend this book for people who like heroins who live to the end of the book.

  3. I have not read this book but I read Cliodhna’s comment. 10% of the body…does that include the organs and things inside it or is it just the outside? I think I will read this book after winter break.

  4. This book started very slow and seemed almost like the charecter (trying to piece things together) but the further in the book you get the more sinster some charecters become, but the ending is slightly fufilling, yet a bit of a let down.

  5. the book was brilliant even though it was sad. Starting off very slow but it gets unpredictable and with a decent ending.
I was mostly suprised that jenna was 10% of her body and the rest wasnt.

  6. This book is just brilliant. It seemed very slow at first but it gradually got better and better and finally, when it hit the climax, I was (as always) tearing up.

  7. This was a slow starting book and I thought that it was a good book.. but the ending kind of let me down. But it was a very original idea which made it interesting to read.

  8. The Adoration of Jenna fox was quite a packed book. With the main story and a few smaller stories too. Like when her friend Alyss lost some limbs due too becterial infections. The story at times made me think that I knew what was going to happen next and it turned out completely different to what I thought. When her friend was dieing. I thought she was going to die and it was almost my defonate thought, I was getting a bit teary eyed there I must admit, but it changed and she didnt die. XD
I personally thought that it was a really good book.

  9. I really liked this book. It makes you think about how you need to know yourself aswell as whats around you. I think jenna learns alot about herself both physically and mentally, replacing what was once lost bit by bit. A great book!

  10. I found this book to be very interesting and very time consuming it says to try to know yourself and figure out who you really are, jenna goes through a lot in her life good and bad and she starts to find out her memories, this book was great

  11. I thought that the book was excellent, and had a good sci-fi edge to it. You only start to find out what really happened to her towards the end, and it keeps you guessing throughout the book. I did find that the ending seemed a bit too fast, but all in all a great book!

  12. I really enjoyed reading this book. The story moved on fast and as Jenna puts more of bits and pieces of her memories together, the story seemed to make more sense. Although I thought the ending was a bit of a let down compared to the brilliant story line. Overall, it was a great book and it made me wonder if something like this would happen in reality in the future.

  13. This book was so slow! I wasn’t realy able to finish the book. I found that the book was extremely overated by the teachers.
Sure the idea and everything is cool but the way the story was told was disappointing. Not many characters was also a bad feature.
Although I found that it reflects how the near future might be like for us.
In four words this book was ‘Good Idea, Slow moving’

  14. When I had heard reviews for this book from various people, I had really high expectations and that’s probably one of the reasons why it let me down so much.
To be fair, the main idea of the story was very interesting and made me think about what would actually happen in the future, but the story line itself moved slowly and there weren’t very many characters in the book. So overall, I thought that this book wasn’t written well enough to get me hooked on it, a disappointing read.
